James P. Rice, MD, FACOG, FICS

James P. Rice, MD, FACOG, FICS

 

Dr. Rice is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.  He completed his residency at Duke University.  He is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.  He is also a fellow of both the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the International College of Surgery.  He is an active member of the American Urogynecologic Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.  He is also the Medical Director of Gynecologic Services for our practice. 

Dr. Rice has over thirty years experience as a gynecologic surgeon and has specialized training in urogynecology, female pelvic reconstructive surgery, robotic surgery and minimally invasive surgery.  He has a special interest in robotic surgery and was one of the first gynecologists in the area to be trained to operate with the da Vinci Robot.

His expertise in pelvic reconstructive surgery for both prolapse and urinary incontinence has earned the respect of the medical community.  He  was named by Seattle Metro Magazine as one of Seattle’s Top Physicians.  Dr.Rice also performs sterilizations, endometrial ablations, hysteroscopy and cystoscopy in our in-office surgical procedure suite located at our Renton office.  He also has a strong interest in clinical research and has conducted over 60 clinical trials. 

In his spare time, Dr. Rice enjoys cycling, hiking, swimming, mountain climbing, skiing, and kayaking. He is married with two daughters. One of his daughters is also an Obstetrician/Gynecologist.

Anthony Tagavilla, MD, FACOG

Anthony Tagavilla, MD

Dr. Tagavilla has been with our practice since 2007. He is a graduate of Grace University School of Medicine, Cambridge, England and received his obstetrics and gynecology training at TriHealth/ Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2007.

Dr. Tagavilla performs minimally invasive surgery for abnormal uterine bleeding; including hysterectomy and in-office endometrial ablation, infertility evaluation and consultation, normal and high risk obstetrics, preventative health maintenance and cancer screening. He focuses on patient education and offers skilled, compassionate care for all of his patients.

Dr. Tagavilla enjoys teaching and is very involved with the University of Washington Medical School program.

Dr. Tagavilla enjoys an active lifestyle, including biking and soccer, with his wife and two children.

He is available for appointments in our Renton Office.

 


Liliana Belskus, MD, FACOG

Liliana Belskus, MD

Dr. Belskus graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Pharmacy. She practiced Clinical Pharmacy and was an associate professor at the UW for five years. Dr. Belskus then earned her medical degree from the University of Washington and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in North Carolina. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Dr. Belskus has special interest in both low and high risk obstetrics, general gynecology and gynecologic surgery. She has specialized training to operate with the da Vinci Robot system. She also performs several in-office procedures including endometrial ablation and sterilization. She offers complete healthcare for women of all ages in a warm and caring environment. She speaks Spanish fluently.

When she isn't busy delivering babies, Dr. Belskus enjoys traveling, skiing, wake boarding and spending time with her two sons and extended family.

She is available for appointments in our Renton Office.

 


Kristine King, MD, FACOG

Kristine King, MD

Dr. King is a graduate of Columbia University. Following a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts New England Medical Center, she also completed additional training in Medical Genetics at Oregon Health Sciences University.

Dr. King welcomes patients for general obstetric and gynecologic care and performs both major surgeries such as hysterectomies and minimally invasive, in-office procedures such as endometrial ablations and sterilization.

She is one of the elite few medical geneticists in our area that offers appointments for cancer genetic counseling and testing. Patients with either a family or personal history of cancer will benefit from a genetics consultation.

In her spare time, Dr. King enjoys traveling, hiking, running, gardening and spending time with her family and two dogs.

She is available for appointments in our Renton Office.

 


Neetu Cheema, MD

Neetu Cheema, MD

Dr. Neetu Cheema is a graduate of Central Washington University in Ellensburg Washington; she was awarded a full academic scholarship and was the recipient of the CWU College of Sciences Excellence in Academics and Leadership Award. She received her medical degree from the University of Washington where she organized and taught a course which united graduate and professional students in the health sciences to become aware of issues faced by underserved populations to healthcare. She completed her residency at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas Nevada. During her training she was awarded the Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award presented by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is certified in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery Program which is endorsed by the American College of Surgeons and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Cheema is committed to patient education and promoting wellness. She strives to provide kind, patient centered, and evidence based care. She is interested in high and low risk obstetrics, well woman care, gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, and in office procedures such as hysteroscopy, sterilization, cystoscopy, ablation, and treatment of cervical pathology.

Dr. Cheema is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi, is trained in classical Indian music and Sikh religious music, and spends time each year volunteering in India in women’s healthcare. Away from work she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, cooking, traveling, and going to the gym.

Tamara J. Sleeter, MD

Dr. Sleeter has retired from practice, effective 6/30/2015.

She has enjoyed a rewarding career and is looking forward to her retirement years!
